About Us

Hi! I’m Eddievo, the founder and voice of Yummy Daily Kitchen. As you might have figured out by now, my curiosity takes me places not only for amazing food but also for breath-taking stories, psychology regarding meals, and the ways meals connect with memories and cultures.

Why I Started Yummy Daily Kitchen

This website is a reflection of my interests, and it’s something which took years to materialize. I have always appreciated the ability of food to tell astonishing stories since the time I used to travel with my backpack and have a journal handy. My intention was a website which showcased not only the food but reveled in it by feeling, understanding, and exploring deeply.

Yummy Daily Kitchen hopes to change that. It aims to facilitate the thought process which revolves around dieting, rather than just eating well. Meals can transport someone to places, and their flavors can aid in traveling the world. I wish to do that alongside my readers, and so I created this delightful space.

Who I Am: From Student to Storyteller

I earned a degree in Cultural Anthropology and Food Science from the University of Vermont. While it appears to be a strange duo, it forms the perfectly suited combination to what I do now. wintelligent people on a plate makes the food more appealing. The mix of science and storytelling taught me more about flavors and their ingredients.

I observed how smell relates to emotion, how culture defines comfort food, and the reasons behind the unique experience of eating while traveling.

After completing my degree, I worked for over eight years as a content editor and culinary researcher for travel and food magazines. My focus was on healthy cuisine, food behavior, and street food trails. I’ve worked with chefs, psychologists, and nutritionists to grasp the connection of food with almost every aspect of our lives, be it mentally, emotionally, or culturally.

To me, this is not work; this is deeply personal. I feel emotionally attached to every dish, every recipe, every traveler’s spice memory I write about. That’s what inspires my return to the keyboard.

What We Cover at Yummy Daily Kitchen

As you read further, I will elaborate what the site is truly about and its organization.

Food & Travel

This is the section for virtual travel experiences. While sipping mint tea in Morocco or enjoying hot stew at a Vietnamese street, I share not only the meal but also the ambience, people, and place. My job is to make sure that you enjoy your meals as much as possible around the world without any restrictions. Food doesn’t only live in kitchens; it crisscrosses borders and tales, all of which I present to you on a silver platter.

Food Culture

Now, let me concentrate on what I consider its essence. Why do some cultures adore musical celebrations with sugary foods and others with salty broths? What’s the reason behind some daily ordered rituals related to specific meals? These are timeless ceremonies, methodical know-how, and identity encapsulated through food. You will think, learn, and change the way you value your daily meals.

Food Psychology

This is perhaps one of the most charming sections to me. It analyzes the impact of food on our brain, mood and decisions. Why do we always seem to want comfort food when the going gets tough? And how do smells trigger memories of childhood so fast? Additionally, how does food dictate our relationships, stress, and even motivation? This section unpacks these mysteries serving the science within reach of your plate.

Healthy Comfort Food Kitchen Science

This is where we get to snuggle up without health issues. Let me explain balancing nutrients, cooking intelligently, or even transforming old recipes with health as the priority. You will find comfort food that is still kind to your body. There is no dieting. There is understanding what truly nourishes us while still feeling like a warm embrace on a chilly day.

What Makes Yummy Daily Kitchen Different?

Unlike blogs which curate a “how to” recipe list to follow, or treat your dishes like mouth-ordering brochures, I write assuming we are sitting together. I attempt to delve into your morning coffee as an emotion, your mom’s stew as childhood, and a street taco from Oaxaca as an adventure. Rather, every flavor we savour together makes sense as a feeling.

You can be a traveler, a mindful eater, or just someone who adores reading about delectables—I assure you something shall resonate with you.

Join Me On This Journey

It is not just my kitchen; it belongs to you too. Each tale I tell, each taste I dissect, I hope it becomes a cherished tale for you to echo in your next dinner chat or grace your heart. I encourage you to revel in what calls to you and let us together continue this voyage of flavors.

Sincerely, thanks for stopping by.

Warmly,
Eddievo
