Ingredients:

  • For the pancakes:
    • 1 cup all-purpose flour
    • 2 tablespoons sugar
    • 2 teaspoons baking powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1 cup milk
    • 1 egg
    • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • For the toppings:
    • Strawberry jam
    • Fresh strawberries, sliced
    • Maple syrup (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Make the pancakes: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and melted butter. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  2. Cook the pancakes: Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges are set. Flip and cook until golden brown on the other side. Repeat with the remaining batter.
  3. Assemble: Serve pancakes topped with strawberry jam, sliced strawberries, and a drizzle of maple syrup (optional).
