Ingredients:

  • For the seafood:
    • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
    • 1 pound squid rings, cleaned and dried
    • 1 pound white fish fillets, cut into strips
    • 1 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 cup cornstarch
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
    • 1 large egg, beaten
    • 1 cup milk
    • Vegetable oil for frying
  • For serving:
    • Lemon wedges
    • Tartar sauce or aioli

Instructions:

  1. Prepare seafood: In a shallow bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. In a separate bowl, whisk together egg and milk. Dredge seafood in flour mixture, then dip in egg mixture.
  2. Fry seafood: Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C). Fry seafood in batches for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Serve: Serve fried seafood on a platter with lemon wedges and your favorite dipping sauce.
