Ingredients:

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup Korean hot sauce
  • Sesame seeds
  • Coleslaw
  • Lemon wedges

Instructions:

  1. Prepare chicken: In a large bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, ginger powder, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. In a separate bowl, whisk together egg and milk.
  2. Coat chicken: Dredge chicken pieces in flour mixture, then dip in egg mixture.
  3. Fry: Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C). Fry chicken pieces for 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Toss in sauce: Toss cooked chicken with Korean hot sauce.
  5. Serve: Serve immediately with coleslaw, sesame seeds, and lemon wedges.
